The holy month of Ramadhan 1446 H has passed. Alhamdulillah, we express our deepest gratitude to Allah SWT for His endless blessings and guidance, and to all our Muzaki who entrusted their zakat to RUMAH ZIS UGM (UPZ UGM). On this occasion, we are pleased to share with you the report on zakat collection and distribution during Ramadhan 1446 Hโa source of joyful news for us all.
Zakat Collection during Ramadhan 1446 H
Alhamdulillah, throughout the month of Ramadhan 1446 H, RUMAH ZIS UGM successfully collected a total of IDR 1,021,019,953 in zakat and fidyah contributions. This marks an impressive 32.12% increase compared to last year’s collection of IDR 772,872,285.
The breakdown of the collection is as follows:
– Zakat Maal: IDR 934,937,633
– Zakat Fitri: IDR 59,224,276
For zakat fitri, the contributions were received in two forms:
– Physical Rice: 353.2 kg, equivalent to IDR 7,084,000
– Cash: IDR 52,140,276
Compared to last year, zakat fitri collections rose by 21.51% from IDR 48,739,785, while zakat maal collections grew by 34.73% from IDR 693,917,500.
This remarkable growth in zakat collection brings great news, as it enables us to reach and support more mustahik (beneficiaries).
Zakat Distribution during Ramadhan 1446 H
In terms of distribution, the number of mustahik benefiting from the zakat program increased by 6.86%, from 2,158 individuals last year to 2,306 individuals this Ramadhan.
The details of zakat fitri distribution are as follows:
– Physical Rice: 100% distributed to mustahik around the UGM Campus on March 30, 2025 (one day before Eid).
– Cash Zakat Fitri: Distributed alongside the regular monthly food packages.
